Faribault Soccer Complex
Faribault, MN | Sports + Recreation
Overview
The City of Faribault, the Faribault Soccer Association, the Faribault Public School District, and ISG teamed up to bring the community a shared soccer complex, requiring master planning, design, and a comprehensive communication strategy to support fundraising efforts.
Opportunity
With a lack of quality fields in the area, the City, Association, and District needed a permanent home for the popular sport that could accommodate all ages, for both daily practices and large, revenue-driving tournaments.
Solution
ISG worked with the City, Association, and District to develop a master plan with designs for multiple soccer fields, tiered to improve stormwater management. The resulting complex gives the community four full-sized fields that can be adjusted in size to accommodate varying age groups and levels of experience. The championship field, known as Bahl Field, creates the ultimate gameday experience for athletes and spectators, complete with a high-quality sand base, lighting, grandstand seating, and a striking welcoming service building with a concession stand and restrooms.
ISG worked with multiple stakeholders to design and support fundraising efforts for a new jointly owned soccer complex in the City of Faribault. Funding for the project was a combination of municipal funds and fundraising efforts by the Faribault Soccer Association. The project was designed to be constructed in phases allowing the project to progress as funds became available. ISG created promotional materials for the fundraising efforts enabling the Faribault Soccer Association to present the project to a broad range of potential contributors.
