Winterset Community School District

Winterset, IA | Education

Overview

ISG helped Winterset Community School District develop a master plan for facilities upgrades that led to a referendum vote. The successful result enabled the District to begin work on a renovation to the aging elementary school.

Opportunity

With aging facilities and projected enrollment growth, Winterset Community School District needed to plan improvements that respond to an influx of students and prepare them for college and career readiness.

Solution

ISG joined forces with Winterset Community School District to develop a long-term strategic plan that addressed the District’s goals. This plan identified a need to provide more dynamic and flexible classrooms with the latest technology, as well as enhanced security and safety throughout each school. In order to make the needed improvements, the District wanted to develop consistent community engagement and parent partnership strategies, eventually culminating in a bond referendum vote. To secure community support for the referendum, ISG assisted the District by outlining renovations for the existing elementary school, additions and interior renovations for the middle and high school, and enhancements for the District’s athletics field. With the help of ISG’s marketing and visualization team, the support for the referendum picked up positive momentum, leading to a successful vote and the design of the elementary school’s renovation.
