A Creative Leader Brings Design Vision, Mentorship, and Momentum to ISG’s Growing Ohio Presence

ISG welcomed Ochuko Evwaraye in early 2026, bringing a dynamic design leader, educator, and storyteller to our firm. With a background spanning athletic, recreation, education, cultural, commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects, Ochuko adds creative depth and collaborative energy as ISG continues elevate design and grow its footprint in Ohio.
Prior to joining ISG, Ochuko served as a lead designer, guiding early-phase concepts, shaping strong visual narratives, and championing design that translated client vision from sketch into structure. Known for his ability to rally people around a shared direction, he brings clarity, enthusiasm, and respect for teamwork to each project.
Ochuko also has taught at The Ohio State University for nearly five years. He is energized by helping students develop and articulate original ideas rather than adopting prescribed solutions. That same philosophy carries into his professional work, creating space for collaboration, trust, and strong design outcomes.
Ochuko’s connection to ISG began through a professional relationship with Alexus Underwood, ISG Growth Strategist. As conversations unfolded, it became clear that ISG’s core values, and ambition to grow as a design-driven firm closely matched his motivations.
“After meeting the team, I realized I wasn’t really evaluating ISG—I was measuring the firm against the values and goals I was hoping to find six months or a year down the road. What surprised me was how closely I aligned with where ISG is headed.”
As ISG continues to expand in Ohio, Ochuko is eager to help position the Columbus office in a competitive market filled with opportunity. He is especially excited about sports and housing projects, while also leaning into ISG’s full-service capabilities to explore new project types across the built environment.

“Columbus has incredible potential,” Ochuko shared. “ISG’s multidisciplinary model allows us to collaborate in ways many firms can’t. I’m excited to build strong teams, go after the right projects, and win together.”
Outside the studio, Ochuko is a lifelong soccer enthusiast and a dedicated family man. He and his wife, also an architect, are raising three children, ages 8, 6, and 2, which deepens his appreciation for the role design plays in shaping strong, lasting communities.
With his creative vision, mentorship mindset, and competitive drive, Ochuko is helping shape the ISG design approach and footprint throughout Ohio.
Welcome to ISG, Ochuko.
