Solution
Sandy soils provided challenging conditions for this clean out of an open ditch designed to allow surface drainage to flow into an open ditch. Multiple 7-inch rains during construction made conditions challenging and dewatering was necessary. Tile installation and a headwall also known as an aluminum drop structure allows flow to the existing open ditch.
