Buffalo (Bison) Activity Center

Buffalo, MN | Education

In 2005, a major athletic complex was designed for the Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose Schools (BHM) District, providing the community with a functional space for a diverse range of users and activities.

Buffalo, MN serves as a regional destination point and gathering space for several surrounding communities. An athletic complex was needed that would serve District needs and multiple other community events and activities.

The final design for the athletic complex includes track and field event areas surrounded by a four-lane indoor track, which also serves as a community walking path. Other amenities include a weight room, six regulation basketball courts with 24 additional baskets for practice and adjustable backboards, six regulation volleyball courts, 24 badminton courts, and two batting cages. The four motorized divisional curtains, backboards, and batting cages are all easily movable via touch-screen controls.
