City of Redwood Falls Street Maintenance Facility
Redwood Falls, MN | Public Works
Overview
This department is responsible for maintenance of city streets, alleys, highways, and parking lots, in addition to the stormwater system. It also manages the maintenance, repair, and operation of all tools, equipment, and vehicles.
Opportunity
After outgrowing the existing building, the City needed a larger facility with more space for storage, as well a maintenance and repair areas for equipment and vehicles.
Solution
This new 12,000-square-foot building has a 786-square-foot storage mezzanine and includes bays for vehicle storage, washing, welding, and service, plus parts storage, locker rooms, break room, offices, and additional storage. The building is conveniently located near the City’s existing Water and Wastewater Department facility. Project coordination for locating existing welding and repair equipment was necessary to ensure proper placement of service bays, tools, and work areas.
