If you know Mallorie, you know that she is anything short of how she describes her fellow coworkers–friendly, helpful, humble, fun, and knowledgeable. For nearly eight years, this Senior Graphic Designer has been making an impact at ISG with her creativity and bright personality. What brought her to ISG and what is her favorite part about working here? If you guessed the people, Mankato’s patio, and projects, you’re halfway there. Read on to learn more!
While she earned her degrees in Graphic Design, Business Management, and Multimedia Technology at South Central College in Mankato, Mallorie was also working over 35 hours a week as a student worker, interning, and freelancing. From customer service to ideation, design to production, and assembly to delivery, Mallorie was able to experience everything she needed to know about graphic design and printing to get her career rolling.
Mallorie came across an opportunity to work with ISG when having a conversation with her mom’s co-worker about her career ambitions. Luck would have it that the co-worker’s husband worked at ISG and mentioned the marketing department was looking to hire. Fast forward a few months and Mallorie joined ISG as a graphic design intern!
Since Mallorie started at ISG, the marketing department has grown from six to over 20 professionals.
“My absolute favorite part about working at ISG is geeking out with my fellow graphic designers and seeing the amazing deliverables they create! ISG has an incredible group of seven in-house graphic designers with diverse skills, talents, and knowledge. New trends, cool styles, and awesome deliverables—they bring it all to the table and it never gets boring! The support, comradery, funny GIFs, and friendships within the ISG’s graphic design team, marketing team, and ISG are a true testament to what ISG stands for.”
When you look around the office or attend firm events, chances are you have seen some of Mallorie’s work. If you’ve had the chance to partner with her on an effort, whether it be a proposal, presentation, or brochure, you have witnessed Mallorie’s talent, efficiency, and bright personality in action.
The most rewarding part of her job is seeing hard work come to fruition through deliverables and projects for our clients that really WOW them.
“While the client might just see the final deliverable, there’s a ton of collaboration and idea sharing between ISG’s architects, engineers, environmentalists, planners, and marketers that get it across the finish line.”
Although collaboration is critical to seeing a project succeed, Mallorie is a strong believer in building connections with your co-workers.
“Meet your co-workers! Go to the office events, grab lunch with your cubical mates, plan a happy hour—relationships are everything! That’s one of the great things about ISG’s culture—relationships are fostered and encouraged, because it makes our team stronger and relentless!”
When Mallorie isn’t enjoying a cold Busch Light during Friday happy hours or singing karaoke with Kelsey Kneeland and Lynn Bruns, she is spending her time tackling home renovations with her husband, organizing to her hearts content, scavenging flea markets for a new find, playing on ISG’s volleyball team, and spending time with her dog, Charlie, family, and friends.
From creating impactful deliverables to spending quality time with those closest to her, Mallorie ensures she’s living true to her Mama Sue’s mantra—what goes around comes around.
“The energy you give to others and put into projects is returned! People might not remember what you said, but they’ll remember what you did and how you made them feel.”

As ISG continues to grow and expand to new geographies, we want to share a few non-traditional benefits that have come with employee owners choosing to relocate. Culture transplants ensure that as we continue to grow, we stay true to our core values, mission, purpose, and culture, which not only benefits ISG employee owners, but our clients as well. This why we encourage relocation across all our locations.
