Inspired by progression, change, and adaption, ISG’s Manager of Applied Technology, Cody Meyer, describes his time with the firm over the last five years. Learn more about Cody, a beer and wine connoisseur, world-wide traveler, and video game fanatic, by reading below:
There’s a great camaraderie within the office. Everyone pushes and challenges each other, which is a work environment I thrive in. Everyone I have encountered is approachable when I ask for project assistance, and they are always willing to help.
Project success lies at the crossroads of the right team, the right approach, and the right technology. Continually advancing technologies, like Artificial Intelligence (AI) Generative and Reality Capture, impacts our future as a firm and the industry as a whole. It’s intriguing applying these new technologies to proven designs. Leveraging technology will benefit us, our clients, and the community.
Choosing to come out both in my personal life and my professional life has challenged me to grow. Being gay in the construction industry can make for some interesting–and sometimes uncomfortable conversations–but I have become more adaptable to others’ reactions since coming out.
You can find me at home playing video games, watching movies and TV, listening to music, and working on home improvements. I remodeled my entire bathroom myself last year. If I’m not at home or at the office, I’m traveling the world. I have traveled to eight different countries, and I have visited Italy twice in the last three years.

As ISG continues to grow and expand to new geographies, we want to share a few non-traditional benefits that have come with employee owners choosing to relocate. Culture transplants ensure that as we continue to grow, we stay true to our core values, mission, purpose, and culture, which not only benefits ISG employee owners, but our clients as well. This why we encourage relocation across all our locations.
