Prior to ISG, I worked for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) for about 15 years. I did a variety of work with WisDOT including working for the Highway Division–reporting, documenting, and collaborating with project managers, contractors, and field staff. Over a year ago, a friend referred me to ISG, and I was able to get a foot in the door starting as a Support Specialist at the Green Bay office. Through this role, I really got to know our business, culture, employee owners, and offices. It opened my eyes to all the different roles ISG has and how those roles work within our firm. Five months later I jumped at an opportunity in the accounting world, and became a Project Accountant.
A calculator and spell check for obvious reasons, but also a great team! Learning a new job in a new company can be daunting for anyone, but not if you have a team that welcomes you in with open arms. Everyone on the office administration and accounting teams have been extremely supportive and helpful as I transitioned into my different roles at ISG. They are eager to see each other succeed as professionals within ISG and as individuals outside of work. It is truly a night and day difference when you have a first-class team.
Our office is very intentional about getting to know each other and doing things together. During the summers we participate in Adopt a Block where every two weeks we get outside and collect trash and clean up our street. We also do a variety of office activities, some of which include a Packer Potluck where everyone is encouraged to wear their Green Bay Packer attire and bring in a dish to pass which includes anything and everything. Earlier this year we tried something new and held a baked potato bar where we roast potatoes and bring fixings to share! Outside of work, we will gather at the CityDeck, the outdoor social center along the Fox River, to listen to some lives tunes and enjoy happy hour together. Since our office has grown a significant amount within the last year, it is always great to bring people together and get to know each other more through these events!
Leading up to our 2022 holiday party, our Green Bay office donated two truckloads of toys to Toys for Tots, along with other items for the New Community Shelter. It was special to see our group rally together for such a great cause, and within a short time frame. It can get busy with the holidays approaching, but the amount of people who participated and took the time to bring things in and get them delivered to the organizations was phenomenal. To celebrate, we topped off the holidays with potluck party, ugly sweater contest, white elephant gift exchange, and even got a photo with Santa down on CityDeck.
I enjoy being out and about with my family and friends attending local events such as farmers markets, sporting events, wineries, or any place with live music and drinks! In the summer, I love participating in outdoor activities such as kayaking, boating, and going up north to fish. During the winter, I like to snowshoe!

As ISG continues to grow and expand to new geographies, we want to share a few non-traditional benefits that have come with employee owners choosing to relocate. Culture transplants ensure that as we continue to grow, we stay true to our core values, mission, purpose, and culture, which not only benefits ISG employee owners, but our clients as well. This why we encourage relocation across all our locations.
