December 3, 2021 (Burnsville, Minnesota) – Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Commissioner Erin Lind announced the signing of a partnership with ISG, Inc. to sponsor the 2022 Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Summit. The 2022 NSIC/ISG, Inc. SAAC Summit will take place on the campus of Winona State University, May 22-24, 2022.

“The SAAC Summit is a dynamic and engaging leadership event we offer to our student-athletes. The partnership with ISG is a perfect fit as the student-athletes who attend are proven leaders on their campus, on their team and in their community. This partnership will only strengthen an already prestigious event. We are thrilled to bring on ISG as the presenting partner of the SAAC Summit.”

Erin Lind, Commissioner | NSIC

“After working with student athletes for the past 20+ years, I am excited for this mutually beneficial partnership with the NSIC. As a former coach, I have witnessed what mentorship from business professionals can do for these young future leaders. In addition, student athletes as interns and full-time employees have positively impacted ISG with their high energy, hustle, and teamwork. We are honored to support the SAAC Summit!”

Darren Blue, Development Strategist | ISG, Inc.

The NSIC SAAC Summit brings together select student-athletes and administrators from each of the 16 NSIC institutions to build camaraderie between NSIC SAAC leadership, enhance SAAC led initiatives and develop skills for life after college. The NSIC SAAC business meeting, the awarding of the NSIC SAAC Cup, and professional development seminars are some of the many unique components of the SAAC Summit along with individual time between SAAC representatives and their respective institutions president/chancellor.

About the NSIC

The NSIC is a 16-team, 18-sport, NCAA Division II conference with institutions located in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The NSIC is a model Division II conference that uses high-level athletics competition to develop champions in the classroom and community while empowering student-athletes to be impactful and positive leaders. Formed in 1992 by the merger of the Northern Intercollegiate Conference (men’s league) and the Northern Sun Conference (women’s league), the NSIC has flourished over the past quarter century, maturing into a 16-team union of Upper Midwest colleges and universities. The NSIC has won 24 team national championships and crowned 81 individual national champions. For additional information, visit Northernsun.org.

About NCAA Division II

The NCAA, the national governing body for college athletics, is a volunteer association of more than 1,000 colleges and universities that classify their athletics programs in one of three membership divisions. The 300+ institutions in NCAA Division II support a balanced approach in which student-athletes can earn scholarships based on their athletic ability, pursue their desired academic degree, and participate in all the campus and surrounding community have to offer. Division II student-athletes annually graduate at rates higher than their student body peers, and they have access to the best championships-participant ratio among the NCAA’s three divisions. Division II gives student-athletes the unique opportunity to compete in the classroom, on the field, in their career, for their causes, and on their terms.
