Staff Complete Professional Licensing Requirements

June 16, 2014 – ISG announces the following accomplishments in professional development for our staff.

Brian Welch, PE – Mankato: Passed the professional engineering exam and is now a licensed professional engineer administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES)

Brent Krohn, PE – Mankato: Passed the professional engineering exam and is now a licensed professional engineer administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES)

Cody Meyer, CST – Mankato: Passed the exam administered by the National Society of Professional Engineers and is now a Level 2, Certified Survey Technician

Dallas Willman, NCIDQ, IIDA – Mankato: Passed the Interior Design NCIDQ test to become a professional interior designer

Jim Osborne, LS – Faribault & Mankato: Passed the National and Minnesota land surveyor examinations to become a licensed land surveyor

ISG believes that professional licensure is a critical component to providing proficient design services to meet our clients’ ever-expanding expectations.

Brian Welch, P.E., and Brent Krohn, P.E., both recently passed the professional engineering exam earning them their professional engineering license in the state of Minnesota. To acquire licensure, candidates must exhibit a commitment to the profession by satisfying rigorous requirements in the areas of education, experience, and multiple examinations. These requirements and high standards protect the public’s safety and welfare. Focusing his career on the municipal aspect of civil engineering, Brian Welch’s experience includes a broad range of projects including infrastructure and utility extensions, road improvements and reconstruction projects, preparation of pavement management studies, parking studies, utility reconstructions, and new site development projects. Brian was instrumental in the design of a significant annexation and sanitary sewer regionalization projects in Madison Lake, Minnesota. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Minnesota State University. Brent Krohn earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from South Dakota State University. His career focus includes commercial, industrial, agricultural, and housing projects. Brent’s creative design solutions are utilized for projects that are unique in nature and require innovative approaches.

Jim Osborne, L.S., passed the National and Minnesota land surveyor examinations to become a licensed Land Surveyor in Minnesota. Land surveyors obtain state licensure by meeting work and testing requirements established by the state’s licensing board. Jim earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from Minnesota State University. His primary responsibilities include gathering field data, conducting research, and drafting data into final survey documents.

Dallas Willman, NCIDQ, IIDA, passed the exam administered by the National Council for Interior Design. An NCIDQ certificate demonstrates competency through education, experience and examination to practice interior design. A creative and detail-orientated designer, Dallas is responsible for developing complete interior plans. She is known for her enthusiasm, persistence, and fostering collaborative relationships that ensure successful program and project completion. Dallas works closely with the project team to establish, develop, design, and manage the interior and architectural project programs, space planning, layouts, drafting, code compliance and specifications. Dallas’ unique blend of artistic vision and attention to detail add significant value to each project. Cody Meyer, CST, recently passed the exam administered by the National Society of Professional Engineers and is now a Level Two, Certified Survey Technician.
