December 20, 2019 (Mankato, Minnesota) – In recognition of its commitment to supporting the application of emerging technologies, ISG has been named as the Volunteer Company of the Year by VEX Robotics. This annual award is presented to a business or organization that consistently exhibits leadership and personal commitment to the robotics community. The distinction demonstrates the value ISG places on robotics, as the firm continues to support educational and competitive programs in local schools and makes strides to creatively adopt new technologies to the benefit of its clients.

ISG’s mission to simplify solutions and passionately design the future applies during and after working hours, and many of the firm’s employee owners have contributed to robotics education. ISG Vice President Chuck Brandel, PE, has been highly involved with VEX Robotics over the years, serving on its board and supporting the VEX Robotics Competition, which prepares students to become future engineers and innovators.

“ISG promotes STEM programs by helping future engineers and technical staff advance in potential future careers through the technical challenges in robotics,” Chuck explained. “Our employees enjoy volunteering and committing time to helping future engineers with this great program. ISG seeks to recruit young talented individuals to continue the firm’s growth, and our involvement in VEX encourages young bright students to see how they can apply their skills in the A/E field.”

Events:Minnesota State University, Mankato, hosted a VEX Robotics competition for middle school and high school students in the Myers Field House on December 20.
