July 31, 2014 (Mankato, Minnesota) – ISG announces the opening of a new office in Des Moines, Iowa. This becomes the seventh office location for ISG across Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. ”Leading the Des Moines office will be civil engineer, Derek Johnson, PE. With over ten years experience in private development and municipal infrastructure projects, Johnson brings proven leadership skills and a reputation as a results-driven project manager and civil engineer. Derek is a graduate of Iowa State University. Most recently, Johnson was a civil engineer in the City of Urbandale’s engineering department where he was responsible for designing capital improvement projects, conducting compliance reviews of private and public projects and oversight of the City’s Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) Permit. Johnson’s background in private and public engineering, ability to identify project challenges and solutions quickly and his emphasis on delivering outstanding client service are his greatest assets. ISG will host the second annual Future of Southern Minnesota Lakes Conference at the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center in Mankato, Minnesota. The conference will open on Friday evening, April 12, with a fireside chat featuring writer and host of the television show "Minnesota Bound," Ron Schara. The evening is an exclusive opportunity for conference attendees to share stories about Minnesota’s natural resources and learn from one another in a relaxed atmosphere.
