ISG Announces Dan Stueber to Serve as MSPS President-Elect

ISG professional surveyor and civil engineer Dan Stueber was recently sworn in as President-Elect of the Minnesota Society of Professional Surveyors (MSPS) at their past Annual Meeting. Dan served on the MSPS Board of Directors before being sworn in as President-Elect and works with members to develop and promote the land surveying industry. In his role at MSPS, Dan recently helped update the Common Interest Community (CIC) Plat Manual, a statewide guidebook for surveyors.

ISG Provides Innovative Groundwater Solutions for Rare Wetlands

Minnesota’s fourth Calcareous Fen Management Plan (CFMP), developed by ISG for a mining client, was recently approved by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) in cooperation with several state and local agencies. It was the first of its kind aimed at maintaining hydrogeological (groundwater) levels. Calcareous fens are rare and distinctive wetlands that receive continuous groundwater discharge that is calcium enriched through contact with bedrock or glacial deposits

ISG Principal and Agricultural Drainage Market Leader, Chuck Brandel, PE, was recently named to the Board of Directors for the Agricultural Drainage Management Coalition (ADMC). The ADMC works to assist agricultural and environmental communities in improving water quality and increasing yields for food and energy producers.

City Storm Water Solutions Celebrated

As part of the City of Kingsley’s solution for storm water issues, a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of a new Water Resource Restoration Sponsored Project will be held with ISG and other Project leaders. ISG designed the Project to focus on slowing storm water, reducing erosion, and improving water quality. As part of the ceremony, a water infiltration demonstration with a fire truck will show how the new permeable pavers, a unique Project component, will act as a sound solution for the City of Kingsley.

ISG Project Receives B3 Award

ISG received the Best of B3 Guidelines Award for the Austin National Guard Armory Renovation project at the Best of B3 Recognition Luncheon held September 23rd, in Minneapolis, MN. The B3 (Buildings, Benchmarks & Beyond) system provides tools and programs designed to help make buildings more energy efficient and sustainable, and is funded and administered through the Minnesota Department of Commerce. All state funded building projects are required to comply with B3 criteria.
