Xcel Energy Willmarth Lime Slurry Evaluation + Modifications

To improve performance and reliability, ISG evaluated critical water supply systems supporting emissions control at a power generation. We assessed existing cooling water and lime slurry delivery systems to determine capacity, flow limitations, and opportunities for system modernization. Recommendations focused on optimizing water quality, recycle strategies, and nozzle performance to deliver variable flows while minimizing scaling and plugging risks. The resulting design guidance supports the reliable operation of mission-critical process systems under variable operating conditions.
