A Southwest Minnesota Housing Partnership project resulted in the design of the four-story, sixty-unit, market rate housing development. The project, located along the banks of the Minnesota River, was designed to provide vistas of the river valley from 58 of the 60 units. This solution included the incorporation of single level flats and two level lofts. Below grade and enclosed parking for all tenants is an added feature of the development. Site design challenges included working with the existing flood protection levee and design of storm sewer collection for the below grade parking facility. The project was approved as a Green Communities certified development which makes homes more affordable through reduced energy and maintenance costs.
