Farr’s Landing Mitigation Bank Restoration

The Farr’s Landing project, led by ISG, represents South Dakota’s first fully constructed stream mitigation bank, generating wetland and stream credits. The project, currently in the vegetation and hydrology monitoring phase, improves water quality, enhances aquatic and wildlife habitat, stabilizes the stream corridor, and re-establishes floodplain connectivity. Using ecological restoration services, ISG increased stream length and installed in-stream structures to improve alignment and ecological function. This work bolsters adjacent wetland areas through the re-establishment of natural hydrology regime and native vegetation communities.
