Eide Bailly Tower
Mankato, MN | Commercial
Overview
Designed to serve as a key entryway into downtown, this seven-story development serves as a commercial anchor featuring a restaurant, retail, and office space, as well as an upper level event center with views of downtown, surrounding bluffs, and the Minnesota River Valley.
Opportunity
As Mankato’s downtown continues to grow and attract business and investors, there is a demand for new facilities that provide modern urban comfort and innovation to employees, residents, and visitors, yet blend in with the surrounding historic architecture.
Solution
Navigating through the approval and funding process for the $19 million private investment, ISG designed the new 70,000-square-foot building Eide Bailly Tower, which serves as a focal point in downtown Mankato. The facility provides commercial office, retail, and restaurant space, as well as additional event space for the downtown area. Through the use of local limestone and giving the ground floor of the seven-story building a traditional scale, bump outs, and a dimensioned facade, the Eide Bailly Tower blends in with the historic local architecture at the ground. Meanwhile, a mix of glass and modern and sleek materials on the tower portion provides high-end commercial and retail space, giving Mankato a push into the 21st century of urban innovation.
