Durham Academy Lower School Outdoor Play Areas

Durham Academy worked with ISG from master planning through construction for the entire Lower School outdoor play areas. We began with a series of design workshops to envision a transformational plan to convert large areas of deep mulch into rich vibrant spaces. The plan incorporated diverse native plants, pathways, seating areas, and furnishings from Wild Child Workshop and Kompan. With a collaborative approach that included the teachers and staff, ISG and the contractor were able to keep the project on schedule and deliver a positive result.
