Dash Center

When the City of Onalaska recognized a need to revitalize its community center, they engaged ISG to assess renovation and expansion options. Through an interactive planning process that centered around community and stakeholder feedback, new opportunities and broader aspirations emerged.

The City staff and Council worked closely with ISG to evaluate multiple pathways, from a remodel and addition to the development of a new facility. The City’s preferred path forward prioritized inclusivity, flexibility, and the facility’s ability to grow with the community.

The result is the Dash Center, a new facility designed by ISG that features improved accessibility, modern restrooms, expanded storage, and flexible programming spaces. Key features include an indoor gym to support year-round activities and reduced reliance on school facilities during the winter. The Dash Center reflects the community’s commitment to connection, wellness, and adaptability for generations to come.

  • 7,350-square-foot gymnasium accommodating all major sports and pickleball
  • Multi-purpose rooms designed to support a wide range of programming
  • Enhanced kitchen for senior meals, community events, and rentals
  • Spectator seating and interior walking loop
  • Centralized recreation space for youth, teen, and adult programming
