Clarion’s commitment to water quality took a major step forward in 2018 when the City partnered with ISG to lead planning, design, and engineering efforts for its water treatment system. ISG began by developing a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER), which identified critical infrastructure needs, including portions of the City Water Works dating back to 1935. This report laid the foundation for a long-term water system upgrade.
Most recently, ISG designed a new reverse osmosis (RO) water treatment facility. Funded through a combination of local, state, and federal sources, the facility delivers softened, high-quality water to the Clarion community while minimizing rate impacts for residents.
