City of Luverne Child Care Center

To address a childcare shortage and support local families, the City of Luverne partnered with ISG to renovate an existing building into a daycare center. ISG was involved from early planning through final design, helping evaluate sites and deliver a space tailored to community needs. The renovation includes 11 classrooms, a gym, commercial kitchen, support spaces, and outdoor play areas. The center provides care for up to 186 children—from infants to school-age—and features new plumbing, a new roof, improved site access for pick-up and drop-off, and updated technology and security.

  • 30,000-square-foot renovation
  • Almost $7-million project budget
  • Public-private partnership: City-owned, privately operated
  • Funded by federal grants, the City of Luverne, and Rock County
  • Addresses a 50% drop in local childcare providers between 2016 and 2022

Thanks to your dedication, what stands before us today isn’t just a completed project—it’s a dream realized. A space built on collaboration, expertise, and trust, and one we can all be proud of.
