The City of Danbury partnered with ISG to enhance its two-cell lagoon wastewater treatment facility, aiming to meet ammonia nitrogen limits, disinfect treated effluent, and provide emergency power—all while prioritizing affordability and longterm impact. Rather than replacing the lagoon with a costly mechanical plant, ISG recommended a hybrid solution featuring the Triplepoint NitrOX™ system. This system provides winter ammonia removal and ultraviolet light disinfection for summer river protection. This targeted upgrade maximized infrastructure investment, minimized costs for residents, and delivered a resilient, compliant system that supports sustainable community growth.
