Boat Conveyor Structure Upgrade

In Cleveland’s active port environment, a complex conveyor system upgrade was executed to modernize vessel loading while maintaining continuous operations. ISG supported the effort from early structural evaluation through final design and construction, performing a detailed load analysis to address the conveyor’s movable and retractable configurations and maintain compatibility with existing infrastructure. The solution includes a 550-foot-long conveyor belt, new deep foundations, and structurally-integrated support framework to manage deflection, load transfer, and access requirements. Delivered on a fast-track schedule, the project enhances system resilience and long-term operational performance.
