As part of the $200 million Babybel® facility expansion in Brookings, South Dakota, Bel Group partnered with ISG to expand and modernize the industrial wastewater system. The improvements double treatment capacity and add upgraded flow stabilization, clarification, digestion, and sludge‑handling capabilities. Enhancements include new equalization and emergency‑storage capacity, a new DAF unit, optimized anaerobic digestion with biogas recovery, and updated utility infrastructure. The industrial wastewater upgrades align with the facility expansion and are scheduled for completion in 2028.
