Bassett Creek Streambank Stabilization

A stretch of Bassett Creek, which flows through Brookview Golf Course in Golden Valley, Minnesota, had significant bank erosion. ISG was enlisted to help repair the banks, establish vegetation, and prevent erosion. In the pre-design phase, our in-house ecologists conducted an ecological assessment to understand the contextual biological factors. Discovering a streambank dominated by Reed Canary Grass and volunteer trees, ISG prioritized invasive species control and the implementation of perennial groundcover. Our team devised a streambank restoration plan tailored to sun and shade environments, offering clear management recommendations for the City.
