Overview

ISG designed more than 50 miles of pipeline supplying four Minnesota communities with natural gas while also ensuring compliance with government codes and regulations.


Opportunity

In order to provide natural gas to local communities, this project required innovative and environmentally conscious designs to protect local water resources.

Solution

With greater production and exports projected over the coming years, the natural gas industry is expanding. To meet these industry needs, ISG provided civil engineering, environmental compliance, and land surveying services for the AgriNatural Gas Southwest Pipeline. The designs included more than 50 miles of pipeline that brings affordable natural gas to four communities in Southwest Minnesota. ISG provided specialized designs for this project’s river crossings and to ensure lakes and wetlands are protected.


Market News

To prevent floods, remove nitrate

January 17, 2020 – The largest wetland project undertaken by the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship sits east of Storm Lake waiting for spring to come so it can perform its duty. It was built last summer not only to prevent flooding, but to remove nitrate from primarily tile-drained land in five Buena Vista County drainage districts.
