David sets a bold, disciplined course for ISG, turning vision into performance and sustainable growth.
As CEO, David guides ISG’s vision, performance, and continued growth. Born and raised on Midwest farm, he brings a grounded work ethic, competitive nature, and willingness to take a different path when it can produce a better result. His leadership combines clear expectations, disciplined operations, and performance coaching with a relationship-first approach that keeps clients, employee owners, and the long-term strength of the firm at the center of each decision.
David joined ISG through an acquisition in 2012 after beginning his career as a civil engineering intern. He has since served as a civil engineer, office leader, Public Works business unit leader, and President. Along the way, he has helped guide annual planning, profitability, strategic acquisitions, geographic expansion, and the growth of ISG’s Sioux Falls presence. David is focused on building a bigger and better ISG, strengthening the firm’s capabilities, delivering exceptional client and employee experiences, and creating sustainable value through the firm’s 100% ESOP.
David’s Friday cowboy boots offer a glimpse of the farm kid and independent thinker behind the CEO title. Away from work, he is a dad of four who enjoys sharing a bag of sunflower seeds at his children’s baseball games, a good splash contest at the pool, rippin’ walleye lips on a lake, and grinding out a bogey on hole 18.
