November 27, 2023 (Mankato, Minnesota). As a national leader in urban stormwater, rural surface water, water quality and planning, and natural resource management, ISG is excited to announce the following leadership role changes within the firm’s Water business unit, effective immediately.

Vice President Chuck Brandel, PE, will continue to leverage his watershed management expertise and build new client relationships as the firm’s National Agricultural Drainage Expert. With a comprehensive understanding of the ecological challenges of water resources, this new designation elevates his position to better reflect the knowledge, experience, and solutions ISG can provide agricultural partners and landowners.

Former Environmental Practice Group Leader Julie Blackburn, CFM, will now serve as Water Business Unit Leader. With over 25 years of experience managing complex water resources management projects for public and private clients, she will direct strategy and development to ensure ISG meets the needs of existing and potential new clients to protect, improve, and manage water resources.

Paul Marston, CFM, is stepping into the Environmental Practice Group Leader role. His demonstrated leadership and passion as an environmental scientist will serve him as he guides the environmental team in assessments, reviews, monitoring, testing, and permitting. His areas of expertise include hydrology, water quality monitoring, watershed planning, stormwater best management practices, stream biology assessments, and advanced modeling.

Project Manager Jacob Rischmiller, PE, is now ISG’s Water Resources Practice Group Leader, bringing his expertise in watershed modeling, planning, and policy discussions to the role. Guiding a team of skilled engineers, he fosters an environment promoting critical thinking, emphasizing understanding the “why” behind projects.

The decision to make these changes reflects ISG’s commitment to upholding the firm’s position as a leading architecture, engineering, environmental, and planning firm with a focus on growth and innovation, driven by the mission to make tomorrow better than today.
