Since 2005, ALDI has partnered with ISG on projects that improve current stores and create new ones nationwide. Over the last several years, ALDI has grown significantly, adding approximately 80 new stores each year—each requiring a partner that can ensure designs fit the corporate brand strategy and sustainability goals. Solon Community School District

As part of a District-wide master plan for facilities, ISG worked to thoroughly evaluate all existing facilities, prepare a prioritized list of repairs and upgrades, and evaluate buildings for educational adequacy. During this collaborative planning process, ISG reviewed District-wide demographics and incoming/outgoing open enrollment figures to better predict future trends and how they relate to building needs and capacities. This resulted in a successful $25.5 million referendum, which supported a new middle school for the District.

Humboldt Downtown Revitalization

Taking a hands-on approach to comprehensive streetscaping through contextual design and alternative analysis, ISG works with stakeholders, such as the City of Humboldt, Iowa, to investigate and define community needs, ensuring that partners get the desired return on investment. Facade improvements, traffic studies, utility improvements, landscape architecture, site furnishings, lighting, and connectivity are but a few services ISG provided to improve the community.

Eagle Grove Water Reclamation Facility

The City of Eagle Grove, Iowa, and Prestage Foods of Iowa partnered with ISG to design a unique wastewater treatment facility. The City’s new wastewater plant will serve the community’s needs while also serving Prestage’s pork plant water reclamation needs. Under this public-private partnership, the City will treat Prestage’s wastewater, and Prestage will pay the City for the wastewater it sends to the new facility. The City and Prestage worked together to secure funding for the project through a State Revolving Loan fund.
