About
Tim’s diverse, 30-year history as a licensed Civil Engineer includes working for FEMA as a Project Specialist and Contractor, and serving as a Conservation Drainage Engineer with the MN Board of Water and Soil Resources, where he was responsible for updating the MN Public Drainage Manual. Tim is well-versed in drainage laws and leverages this understanding as he works with Drainage Authorities to ensure that the water resources team meets and exceeds drainage requirements.
A skilled educator by nature, Tim’s approachable demeanor makes him an ideal mentor to engineers entering the field. As a former Civil Engineering Technology instructor at the Dakota County Technical College, Tim had the opportunity to train the next generation of civil engineering technicians-teaching students how to think critically and navigate the basics of engineering, nuances of design, and forward-looking practices. This hands-on approach translates to his role at ISG, where he guides the water resources team in best management practices and the development of cost-effective solutions for agricultural drainage and water quality projects.
