Brian Muellner, AIA, NCARB
Architecture Group Leader
Brian possesses an entrepreneurial spirit—demonstrating a true passion for building something great and pushing himself and those he leads to achieve big goals. Predisposed to taking calculated risks, he is often the first to raise his hand and lead, and in 2020 joined ISG to lead start-up activities for the firm’s new Rochester office. He prides himself on his ability to connect easily with others; quickly earning the trust of his team and clients and setting the foundation for long-term success.
As an Architecture Group Leader, Brian brings over 24 years of design and construction experience in the mixed-use, commercial, corporate, hospitality, housing, and healthcare industries. He is motivated by the outcome of seeing clients interact with the spaces he designs and works diligently to develop focused solutions that align end-users with the overall project vision.
A passionate travel enthusiast, Brian is inspired by other cultures and perspectives, and applies these global insights to develop innovative, functional, and meaningful spaces. To further expand his design knowledge and approach, he attended the School of Architecture and City Planning in Stuttgart, Germany and language institute in Vienna, Austria, in addition to his primary architectural studies at the University of Kansas. Brian implements fresh ideas from his travels to impact the communities around him, while simultaneously looking to improve personally and professionally. To do so, Brian is an active member of numerous community and industry organizations, including the OAKS Event, Minnesota's Rochester Sports, Summit Point, Rochester Downtown Alliance, and Green Drinks.
